The Herbert W. Hoover Foundation will focus its funding on issues related to the Community, Education and the Environment.
What is the Foundation's geographical areas of giving?
The Foundation has two primary geographic areas of funding. The first geographic area is to organizations within Stark County, Ohio. The second geographic area is outside of Stark County, Ohio - with a concentrated focus on Southern Florida.
How often can my organization apply for a grant?
An organization may submit no more than one application to the Foundation in a single calendar year.
When and how will I be notified of the Trust Committee's decision?
You will be notified in writing of the Trustees' decision within two weeks of the Trustee's Meeting.
Does the Foundation publish an annual report?
The Foundation does not publish an annual report.
How many copies of the grant proposal should I submit?
One original and six copies (for a total of seven proposals) should be mailed to the Foundation.
Is there a limit as to the dollar amount of the grant that I request?
There is no limit to the dollar amount on a grant proposal. Understand that the Foundation prefers to fund numerous smaller grants than a few large grants.
