The purpose of the working group is to create a comprehensive plan on cleanup strategies by identifying clean up options, potential funding sources and securing a commitment by fleets to participate in the steps outlined in the plan.

To date, OEC has worked with several districts in applying for US EPA and Ohio EPA grants for diesel retrofit technology. Technologies such as the diesel particulate filter can reduce diesel soot by up to 95%.
